Our lesson program includes English, Western and Endurance Trail Riding.
We offer lessons year round with both indoor/ outdoor arenas. We have weekly riding lessons, for adults and children, in a group, semi private or privately, for exercise or for competition. Lessons are Daytime, evening or on weekends, Below are samples of our riding programs.
Safety First! Riders are required to wear a CSA certified helmet to sit on or ride a horse at all times. Riders must wear suitable footwear with a closed toe and a slight heel (No runners) Anyone helping children in a barn or riding must wear footwear with a closed toe (No sandals). •Parents & Tots (Pony Rides) For children under 5. This program is an early introduction to the world of horses. Come and learn the basics of riding in a fun and safe environment. Parents will participate in leading their child's pony and joining in this great experience. Warning: This introduction class may lead to a long lasting passion of our four-legged friends! Confidence builder, relationship between parents, pony and toddler. A broader view of being able to work with a large pony.
Safety First Parent must participate with one hand on the horse, one hand on the child. Parent must wear suitable footwear with closed toes.
•Recreational Riding-Equitation involves many styles of riding: dressage,hunter equitation,jumper and Western. Here at TAHA, you have the opportunity to develop skills in any of these styles in a non-competitive environment, at your own pace and for your own enjoyment. Most of our lessons are given throughout the week in a group format with 4-6 students, giving plenty of individual attention throughout the course of the lessons. Semi Private and Private lessons are also available
• Competitive Riding or EVENTING Lessons-For those riders with a competitive streak. We also offer a special show training program to prepare students for the realities of the show ring, from local schooling shows up to nationally recognized events. Spots in this program are limited and subject to trainer approval and evaluation of riding skills.
• Mature Adult Lessons are available for riders 40+
• Lessons are to be paid for on a monthly basis. Payment is due at the first lesson of each month.Payments after the 3rd will be charged a $25.00 administration fee. Sorry NO cheques, EMT or Cash accepted. Lessons are booked by the month not by the week, therefore monthly payment is due whether or not you are able to attend all lessons in the month. Single lesson prices are posted for new students starting lesson mid month.
•Group lessons (4 or more students) are 60 minutes, (3 or less students is considered semi-private 45 minutes, while private lessons and semi private lessons are 30 minutes of instructor time. In the event that only one or two students are present for a group lesson, the instructor at their discretion may shorten the lesson. Please come 15min prior to lesson to groom/tack up and warm up
Coming November 1st Endurance Trail riding is a sport based on controlled long-distance races in the outdoors. It is one of the international competitions recognized by the FEI. There are endurance rides worldwide. Endurance rides can be any distance Begin by riding 1 to 2 per workouts per week at a pace of two to four to six miles per hour and 2 to 4km in distance lengths. Gradually increase your time, distance and speed.

TAHA is offering Camps offer a wonderful experience where horsemanship is taught, skills of handling a horse on the ground, teaching signals, encouraging you to be more confident in your conversation with the animals we have everything from chicken's to pigs to goats and of course lots of horses. Learn about animal likes and dislikes, horses' love of apples and carrots, maintenance and care-taking of your equipment, keeping it soft and flexible so that your horse enjoys a comfortable bridle and you enjoy a clean and soft saddle to sit on.
•Camps for children 5 to 14 (Summer camp) and 7 to 14 (March break) are offered to coincide with holiday times in both the English and the French boards.
Summer Camps $350+hst
Children will have the use of a fridge and microwave for their lunches, and we offer our inground swimming pool for a refreshing break from the heat and all of the pony excitement! Nature hikes, covid friendly sports games, arts and crafts, Zip-line, obstacle course, and scavenger hunts round out some of the fun activities offered in our full day camp program All of our saddles are equipped with safety “break away” stirrups, and we offer a limited supply of ASTM safety approved helmets to lend during our camp. All campers are required to have their own riding pants (breeches, or leggings) and paddock boots, or equivalent boots with a small heel.

We can handle groups from 8 to 12 children plus birthday child The children will be taught basic control of the horse and be led through games, races, and general silliness for an hour of horse fun. Parents or helpers are asked to be on hand to lead ponies/horses (1 helper per child, for young children and those who have never ridden).
We have an area designated area (FUN ZONE) to use before and/or after for parties. Fridge, water and freezer are all available for hosting your birthday party. You can decorate it as you want, we just ask you to leave the FUN ZONE as clean as it was before.
A deposit is required to reserve your party, with payment in full due 48 hours in advance. Payment can be made in cash, or via e-mail money transfer to email@example.com
Please Arrive at least 1/2 hour before riding time. Each child must be fitted with a helmet and, if necessary, boots. If possible, wear a boot or shoe with a 90 degree heel. Running shoes are not Bring completed waiver forms for each child. Please pick up in advance

Our petting zoo is part of our Therapy Program for people with physical and mental disabilities including dementia and post-traumatic stress . In our petting zoo we have wonderful and friendly chickens,pigs,goats, sheep and some miniature ponies. They all enjoy good pet pets a scratch behind the ear, a cuddle and a good groom. We have wonderful carrots apples and crunch kibble to hand feed them.
One on one with that special horse, No riding required. Bond, brush, do ground work or take a lovely stroll through our trails.

We are always very interested in hearing about stories of growing up on farms in days gone by and riding adventures of their own! When working around horses the elderly can overcome anxiety and depression, work on building self-confidence and non-verbal communication, decrease a sense of isolation, and empower themselves to take on other challenges in their lives. Our seniors may learn how to groom, halter, feed and lead the horse. The horse’s natural inclination to interact honestly with humans and other horses, plus the animal’s ability to mirror the nuances of human body language make the horse the perfect animal to allow seniors to conquer fears and meet the physical tests of growing older. The beautiful serene environment and trip to the country is certainly an added bonus enjoyed by all.

Any person with a medical condition should notify us at time of reservation to see if this activity is suitable for them. We do have in hand pony ride for some clients... Sorry, we do have weight limit for safety of our horses and riders. Our weight limits are based on height-weight ratios, but are not exact. Generally the maximum weight is 250 lbs up to 6 feet tall and 275 lbs for the folks over 6 feet tall. You must be able to manage and handle your own weight, loading yourself on to the mounting block onto the horse with little assistance from our staff. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. During your visit you must listen to and follow all instruction from our staff. Failure to do so could result in early termination of the visit however you will still be responsible for payment in full. NO REFUNDS on any training session, lessons, Summer camps or visits All training sessions must be paid in advance and a minimum of 4. If trainer cancels due to weather or illness a rescheduling training session will be made within 30 days. If client cancels less than 48 hours they will have lost of said training session. If client gives proper notice rescheduling within 20 days will be made. All policies in refunds are subject to change without notice.
Loss of lessons or Camps due to covid shutdowns will not be refunded for deposits or full payments but will be credited to your account to use at a future date for lessons or upcoming camps once lockdown provisions or emergency shutdowns have been lifted.
Due to the privacy of some of our clients video and photography is strictly prohibited without written consent. We do have a professional photographer on staff if you would like to have memorable photos taken please speak to Lynn to arrange this.
